Elaine Miller, LCSW

Elaine has many years of experience working with people struggling with anxiety, depression, and other life stressors. Her previous experience in working with family systems has led her to understand the impact of larger systems upon individuals. Through working with clients in crisis situations she has developed an interest in helping people deal with past trauma and abuse. Elaine believes in the innate worth of each individual and thinks that successful therapy involves helping people develop their own creativity and form successful connections with others.

Elaine has worked with many different issues, including relationship issues, adoption, loss and grief, physical illness, and life transitions. She uses a variety of solution focused and cognitive techniques to aid in the process of change. Her approach is person centered and strength based. She is also an advocate for self care as an important part of coping and dealing with anxiety and depression.
