Dr. Kaitlin Hinchey is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from William & Mary. She has worked in the mental health field as a family therapist for over 8 years in the Southeastern and Central Virginia regions. Kaitlin enjoys partnering with adolescents, adults, couples, and families to identify how they want their lives to change and encouraging growth through an affirming, culturally sensitive, solution-focused approach.

 

Kaitlin pulls from multiple therapeutic approaches including Emotion Focused Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral concepts while also matching her client’s unique needs. Using a systemic framework to get to know her client’s larger context, Kaitlin offers support with partner/family communication and conflict, situational, relational, or occupational stress, depression and anxiety, self-esteem, social comparison, anger management, life transitions, trauma, and grief. Clients from diverse racial, ethnic, cultural, sexual, and gender identities are fully welcome! In every session,
